The Orinda Juniors
The Orinda Juniors
The Orinda Junior Women’s Club is a non-profit women’s organization dedicated to
community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
We are a diverse group of women united by a shared commitment to friendship and
volunteer community service.
We believe community service efforts can be done in the limited time our busy
schedules allow – and can make a big impact when accomplished in the spirit of fun!
OJWC is celebrating it’s 30th year this coming year. To find out more about the REUNION, please visit www.orindajuniors.org/reunion/

Community service efforts include:
Orinda Convalescent Home We host a lively party and parade for residents of the
home with Orinda Juniors’ children dressed in their Halloween costumes.
STAND! Against Domestic Violence We support this organization by hosting a
party for the children who live at the transitional housing facility while the mothers
receive counseling. We also provide backpacks filled with art supplies for each of
the children.
Bruns Hospice House The first year for us working with this organization. We plan
to organize and serve a Valentine’s Dinner for the residents and their families.
Children’s Hospital Family House We provide Easter baskets to children staying
at the Family House. These children are siblings of kids staying at Children’s
Hospital often for a long period of time.
Holiday Family Adoption We typically support an organization during the holidays
with a clothing or gift drive. Last year we supported Brighter-Beginnings with a
family adoption program.
Local community organizations We provide volunteer hours and resources to
local community events: Orinda 4th of July activities, Haley’s Run for a Cause,
EFO, Orinda in Action, Shelter, Inc. and others.
